Get the grease HOT! An STOP the wind PLEASE!
Looks, like the ground mullet, white trout are in to stay for a while.
Ran over to Cat Island Friday, with a couple from Texas and I tell ya the ground mullet and white
trout were hungry, eat just about anything that hit the water.
But my crew said they were fun to catch but they didn’t eat those?! So, that’s o.k. I know
someone that does (yum! yum!). There was a few nice speckle trout mixed in with the
whitetrout, and a few more really nice ones on a wreck outside the island. White trout a lil’
small, but the ground mullet were just right. swung back to ship to look for the reds an we seen
several but they were all singles, no big schools.Needed to be wadeing, think we could’ve got a
few but in the boat we were spooking them.
Got blowed out the weekend. Specks should really turn on as the weather looks very
promising. Be nice to get on them trout for a few hours before we go on the Randy Who Hunt,
!(106.9lb new state record cobia!) see discounts and specials page.
Short pants and barefoot, that’s what I’m screaming: ! Let’s Go Get’um!
P.S. trying to put together a 15 hour offshore trip got 2 people on waiting list need 2 more.
